Spring and Pink!
I got off work relatively earlier today so I wanted to stop by my local Rite-Aid to see if any chips are on sales (note: I'm never out of snacks). Unfortunately, chips were quite expensive but I saw the REVLON makeup section being on sales so I wanted to see if I was able to pick out anything that I would like.
The result is: a REVLON Moon Drops Lipstick #570 (Chinaglaze Red)
Along with my new beads-layers necklace, and this is the try-out result!
The lighting in my room wasn't so great plus this picture was taken with my iPhone front camera, so the "red" came out to be "redder than it appears in reality". I was actually aiming to get a pink that is similar to a "Barbie pink".
This color turns out to be more of a combination of bright red and hot pink. But for around $5, I wouldn't mind to add a new member to my makeup collection!

Rapunzel Rapunzel Clip-in Hair Extensions
I have just purchased these clip-in hair extensions from rapunzel rapunzel's websites. I have heard a lot of great reviews about this hair extensions brand and most importantly, it falls into my budget.
It will take about 5-10 business days to arrive to my house. I can't wait to put them on already!

Coffee Addict Discovery
Found this extremely cute coffee mug online and decided to share it here! So what does this cute little coffee mug do? When it's at room temperature, it generates a darkened sleeping face. And when one pours hot coffee (or any hot liquid) into the mug, it "wakes up" with a brightened face (literally).
One mug costs $29.00 USD. Although it's extremely cute and I would totally love to have this for my coffee, paying $29.00 does not seem rational to me for a mug.
Anyway, cute discovery!
Truth is...

First Try: Homemade Crumbs Topping Coffee Cake
I absolutely love the coffee cake and was surprised that it almost had no coffee flavor inside so I did a little research and discovered that coffee cake is a kind of cake that is good to go with coffee but does not really have any coffee in the cake itself.
I was so in love with the coffee cake, I decided to try to make it myself. Here is the result and the recipe
Cake:
- 1 1/2 cups sifted all-purpose flour
- 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoon cinnamon powder
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Crumbs:
Totally lost track of measurements but I believe I used...
- 1 1/2 cups of all purpose flour
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2-3 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 cup butter
- 2 teaspoon vanilla extract
The cake turned out to be okay but not as moist as I would like it to be. I also believe that there's some sort of apple flavor in the homemade coffee cake that I have tried at Little Brown, so I may try to find another recipe and see how that I can improve.

MyGlam February Bag
Recently I am subscribed to Michelle Phan's new MyGlam business and have one glam bag shipped to me every month for the price of 10 dollars. Each month, the glam bag will contain a few sample or full size products in a little cute bag. And for this month, I received this cutie!
The bag contains:
- A sample size X Out Shine Control moisturizer
- A full size NYX Roll On Shimmer
- A sample size Premier Dead Sea Cinderella Mask
- A sample size Freeman Facial Mask Sachets
- A $100 Gift Card at NuMe Professional Styling Tools and Hair Extensions
One a side note, I absolutely love this cute little makeup bag! I am deciding whether it should be my night-out makeup bag or my work-day makeup bag.
And this is what I came up with, using the nude color Roll On Shimmer from NYX and the X Out Shine Control moisturizer as the lotion base.
I used the shimmer as an eye shadow but soon I realize that the shimmer thins out very quickly. I used dark brown, medium brown, nude, and white on my eyes to create a very natural look. I then applied a layer of the pink-ish nude color shimmer on the inner corners extending it to the middle part of my eyelids, and eventually blended out everything and applied my favorite eyeliner and mascara.
On the rest of my face, I used concealer, mineral powder, and bronzer; and for my lips, I used a combination of a red color and pink color for shadowing for an effect for fuller lips.
I can't really say I have a favorite item from this bag and I was expecting better high-end or more full size products, like the ones that were given out from earlier glam bags. However, for the price of 10 dollars a month, I am willing to stay and see how MyGlam will improve in the future.
I'm looking forward to the March glam bag.
