To-Buy-List and Just a bunch of ideas

So I have been stealing pictures of new products from the web and fashion ideas from instagram ever since... I have gotten a promotion with a slight increase in my salary!

Since I have nothing to do at home right now because of hurricane Sandy (and because I am very sick), I just want to post a bunch of pictures and tell y'all what I will be buying!

Oh yea, life is too short to wear boring clothes!

I don't own these photos! They are just ideas for my DIY products or just something that I simply want to wear or want to buy! Afterall, I'm not a fashion diva, I'm just a girl who likes to buy everything that is cute!

Goodbye... For now!

Today was my last day at my current job and saying goodbye was very hard. I will be taking a new career adventure on Monday and I am very excited!

Just wanted to post some pictures of my last week at work and after work!

Goodbye... For now! It's been a great 16 months.

Metallic gold nails for fall

I know it's fall already (and probably winter soon... NYC has been getting colder recently) but it doesn't mean that your nails have to stick to all boring nude colors. I didn't like shimmery nail polish before because I thought they make me feel older. But recently, I found them very lovely and I'm starting to own more shimmery nail polish. I really like how the light reflects on my nails, and on certain polishes, you can see different kinds of color reflections.

This time, I used sephora's nail polish in metallic gold. This polish was on sales so I thought "why not" and added it to my online shopping cart. I got my package the next day and I know I made the best decision to buy this 3 bucks cutie. It looks so good and it's perfect for a night-out and the fall season, actually it also brings out my inner rockstar! I'm looking to buy the other colors before they are sold out.

I didn't do any designs on my nails this time since my head hasn't stop hurting since last week so I wanted to get more rest tonight.

Health warning: dry your hair completely before you sleep or tie it up in a pony, because that's how you get this really weird infection in your heard (no idea of the medical terms in English). The piercing pain hurts like a pineapple is growing in my ears, lol.

Anyway, can't wait for a new start on the 29th!

P.S. I love neon orange my eye-hearts tee from f21 (though, very very very bad customer service).

New start beginning. Ready, set, go!

In process of giving up all past baggages and looking forward to new challenges in life! Just realized how loved I am. I was being protected this whole time and I appreciate all the kindness. Now, it's my turn to be considerate and stop being selfish. Letting everything go with the past, so everyone is free of guilt, free of stress, and free of obligation. And of course, me too as well.

Now that I have learned how to be stronger, I just need to learn to smile again.

I'm sure I will be fine. Thanks for all the support and love, my dear friends and family! Gotta rock life in a gangnam style, just because it's pretty darn awesome and, of course, funny.

Gogocurry!

Finally went on a much needed date with my bestie (plus ken and vishal). It was a relief for me to have my bestie listen to all my rants that I have been storing up in my head.

We went to Go-go-curry for a late lunch and did our usual Starbucks mini-chat. Did a little shopping and a lot of catching up, especially glad to see Vishal, who I last saw at least 1,2 years ago.

Thanks for thinking about me even when you were vacating at Taiwan!

October ipsy (former MyGlam)- glambag review- hello, bombshell

I thought I wasn't going to receive my bag until next Tuesday but seems like life does want to give me a break so when I came home from hanging out with my bestie (1st time in 4, 5 months), I saw this beautiful hot pink envelope sitting in my living room, and I instantly cheer up.

This month's bag continues with the MyGlam awesomeness.

This month's awesome bag include 5 different products.

•the Balm- what's your type? "the body builder" mascara
I have used the Balm's products before and I'm excited to try this one out. I have heard reviews saying that this mascara does not hold curls (which is very bad for Asian lashes because that weights down our lashes).

•minernesse.com- lip bomb glossy lacquer stain in red
Another lip product from MyGlam. Not exactly the color I want but it's a nice color. I wanted the dark red color (knowing it's this season's trend) but this lovely one is quite awesome. Good for a long day out.

•couture colour pequi oil treatment
Hair product makes my mom happy! Another product for my mom to try out!

•coastal scrents- eye shadow
Not so sure how to use the yellow shadow without looking like a clown... The other 3 colors are greenish color in different tones, not my color either. I have dark brown eyes and I don't think green (and yellow) compliment my eyes...

•be a bombshell- eye liner
This eyeliner is amazing! Love it, love it, love it! It lasts for the whole day without any smudges (usually my eye corners would smudge the eyeliner there). Though, the eyeliner tip is a little big, so gotta be extra careful with narrow corners (I have deep double eyelids, so I have to be extra careful with my inner corners.

Oh, and how can I forget about the cute makeup bag that I received as well? Very cute bag and also very nice materials!

Keep it up, MyGlam. Though not all of this month's products are the perfect fit or right color for me, for 10 dollars, this is still quite awesome!

September and October

September and October have been two good months so far. Many have been achieved, many have been realized, and many have been understood.

In September, I turned 24 and I realized that things I had always desired no longer matter. I dedicated too much effort in trying to find out why I failed in the past and had forgotten to try to make things better for myself.

I have already accepted that I will never be the person that I wanted to be. But instead, I will try my best to be the ordinary person that I am right now.

I will take small steps to make my life worth something. Perhaps I can start with regaining my passion in art again. There's no support nor understanding that I can count on from anyone, but I believe that as long as I just hold on tight during the time period of pure suffering and disapproval, I will get there one day.

After a full year of pushing back and talking, I finally took an important exam this past week. After last year's failure, it took me a full year to overcome my fear. Whatever the outcome may be, I am quite proud of myself.

Sometimes I do wish that my situation can be a little better than this. But I'm trying so hard, I think I deserve a trophy! Now that two of my year long goals have been achieved, I'm on for my next ones, hopefully by the end of 2012, all of my new year resolutions will be accomplished!

Now my next goal is to get rid of all of these ridiculous physical aches and emotional baggages that I'm having. A vacation sounds like a good plan, now the question is, where?

October Sample Society- beauty box review

October's sample society beauty box arrived very early this month. I believe I got it on the 1st or the 2nd but since I was busy preparing for an exam, I waited until now to post a review.

Please excuse my pictures. I'm writing this post on my phone and I can't flip the pictures, haha.

This month's box is quite disappointing.

This month's box included the following products.

•Jane Iredale- fantasia self tanner
Not only that I will never use a self tanner product, I don't think it's quite seasonally correct to be using a self tanner in October. My first reaction was "what the heck, sample society". Can't say I'm not disappointed.

•Kate Somerville- exfolikate intensive exfoliating treatment

•aromachology- clean & fresh eau de parfum
A very nice perfume. Full size costs $100. Will never buy this in full size, but it's good to have a try.

•Oscar blandi- pronto wet hair care
Don't quite use hair product, so I'm pretty sure this one is going to my mom as well.

•erno laszlo- phormula 3-9 repair balm
Perfect product for this autumn. Full size costs $245, isn't this too expensive..?

This box also came with an extra sample bonus of a lavender towelette from Herban Essentials.

I'm in consideration to cancel samplesociety and possibly switching to glossybox.
