Glossybox February

This month's glossy box!

Finally a box without a lipstick. I have way too many lip products. Haha. Good to own some nail product and a pretty silver liquid liner.

Ipsy glambag- february bag

This month's glambag is another good one. The products that are included may not be as high end as the ones from glossy box but I absolutely love everything, especially when it's only 10 bucks.

This month includes
•pop beauty mascara
•lash card
•coastal scents eye shadows
•mica beauty cosmetics gel eyeliner in black
•pixi face primer

This is actually a relatively smaller bag than the other months but I love the eyeshadows and the bag arrived just in time before valentines day (even tho I don't have a valentine).

Only one complain, I miss when the makeup bag used to be cute.

This month's beauty box improved by a lot! Love the lip gloss and lotion.

First glossybox: the man repeller

Got my first glossy box! All products are amazing.

My favorite product has to be the nail polish from o.p.i. It's a liquid sand polish, in other words, the texture comes out sandy after applying. The result is so beautiful. I'm definitely going to get the other colors.

The other product that I love is the lipstick. The color is so beautiful. I just wish I wear bold colors better.

Lastly, the living proof hair primer is also another new favorite. Now that I'm doing a green hair challenge, I'm trying to care for my hair as much as possible and this came just at the right time!

Glossybox is amazing! I will consider buying a full year membership after this 3 month test trial.

A week of my life

A week of my life. Mostly consisted of work and a little bit of hang out. On the brighter side, I got a new laptop and it's pretty amazing!

Green Hair Challenge: Life with no shampoo (Continued)

So to continue off the last post (from day 4).

I was very surprised how my hair was already showing improvement. My hair wasn't as greasy as it used to be towards the end of the day.

So continuing my progress updates...

• Day 5: washed hair with conditioner in the morning
• Hair feels very clean and soft!
• No excessive oil even towards the end of the day; worked until 10:30pm and hair was in great condition
  
•  Day 6: washed hair with conditioner in the morning
• I was actually quite concern that my hair would be greasy even after a conditioner wash; it seems like oil is building up a little bit but nothing serious or very noticeable
•  Day 7: washed hair with shampoo in the morning
• I actually could have waited another day since oil wasn't building up as much as usual, but it was one of those morning after 2 weeks of craziness and I just want to wash my hair, haha
• Day 8: washed hair with conditioner in the morning
• Ugh, I can already tell that my hair is greasy after drying my hair, guess I will need to use dry shampoo later 
• Day 9: washed hair with shampoo
•  I really shouldn't be using shampoo yet but I just couldn't stand it, haha
• Day 10: washed hair with shampoo again
• A total fail..just had to wash my hair with shampoo
• Day 11: Back on conditioner
• Guess hair regressed a little bit, quite greasy, ugh

I just wonder how long this can last. 

Green Hair Challenge: Life with no shampoo

So what does my hair mean to me? It used to be pretty much a source of self confident. I never actually cared about the length of my hair until I met my ex-boyfriend. In fact, I have always prefer short hair because I think it shows my personality. Ever since I had met my ex-boyfriend, I decided to let my hair grow out. My hair was extremely long and beautiful for the 3 years that we were dating, until I decided to cut it in a short bob, then a pixie after a rough breakup with him.

Many may think that having a pixie haircut may be the easiest hair style to manage. SO WRONG! My hair would go crazy in the morning because of the way that I sleep, which led me to wash my hair at least twice a day (even 3,4 times in summer) to keep it looking nice.

Fast forward, not only my heart had been through a war, my hair too but just a war with all the chemicals in shampoos. Now my hair gets extremely greasy within a few hours after a wash and it's driving me crazy. So I decided to take on this green hair challenge, hoping that my hair will be less greasy and healthier.

I don't think I can ever go completely without shampoo, so my goal is really to cut down on the shampooing and using substitutes, such as watering washing, conditioner washing, dry shampoo, etc,  as alternatives.

• Day 1: Washed hair once with conditioner
• Not too bad; hair is very soft after the wash
  
•  Day 2: Washed hair once with conditioner
• Specially spent extra time in massaging scalp to make sure hair is clean; did not notice any excessive oil building
  
• Day 3: Washed hair once with conditioner, and followed by dry shampoo
• Oil is starting to build up noticeably ever after washing and drying hair, so I had to apply dry shampoo to get rid of the excessive oil (especially my bang) so I didn't look ridiculous when I headed out
   
• Day 4: Washed hair once with shampoo in the morning
• Since it's a work day, so I decided to wash my hair with shampoo in the morning; I wonder how long will it take for my hair's health to return..?

A week of my life

To conclude the things that I did in my past week, I met up with my bestie, hung out with friends, drank and ate a lot, and lastly worked a lot as well.

Oh, I also got a new phone. Bye iPhone hello Google phone.

January 2013 ipsy glambag

This month's glambag theme is "a true star will always shine". I expected a cute makeup bag to switch out my current one, but was quite disappointed when I saw the plain black bag.

This month includes the following items:

My favorite product this month has to be the nailtini polish. I have been so busy recently, my nails have been bare for a few good months already. I'm so excited to use this new polish and knowing the quality of my previous nailtini polish, I just know I'm going to love this one as well.

Can't believe its almost 3 weeks in the new year already! Definitely need to step up and work on the plans that I have for 2013!

pacifica tusan blood orange body butter: smells amazing

josie maran 100% pure argan oil

soho eyeliner brush: I like the quality of these soho brushes but I always think they are too big for me. This eyeliner brush does not create a line that is as good as my other eyeliner brush, but this is good for an angled shadow look.

sexyhair big sexy hair spray: it holds my hair up... for like 30 minutes, before my hair gets weight down by the grease from excessively washing, haha. Not the spray's fault tho!

nailtini nail polish in bloody Mary: Love love love this! Such a beautiful red color! Just perfect for Chinese New Year. I will post up a picture of this polish on my nails.

A week of my life

Back at work and fresh off a new year. Things have been going great! I need to lose some weight tho, I'm afraid to step on the scale.

Talk to you never, 2012! You were so damn tough to get though but you have also made me stronger!
